Group Coaching
Group coaching is a cost-effective alternative to individual coaching and can deliver results superior to online courses and one-off training programs. Groups can be customized to the organization’s needs, and participants have a say in specific areas of focus, with sessions offering a balance of coaching, training, and discussion. With the coach’s support, a group of six to ten members learns new skills, tries out new behaviors, practices giving and receiving feedback, and celebrates successes together. A typical program occurs over four to eight months, with two group coaching sessions per month and at least one individual coaching (or assessment and feedback) session during the engagement.
Group coaching also fosters community and increases understanding and appreciation for colleagues working in different functions or across the company. These supportive relationships often continue after the program ends, promoting a level of engagement that can strengthen retention and business outcomes especially in remote and hybrid work environments. At the program’s conclusion, the company benefits from the coach’s recommendations to senior leadership and HR for continuing to support and engage members of the cohort, as well as for addressing relevant systemic issues.
